Kathy has worked at BKC for over 20 years and has over 23 years of public accounting experience. Before joining the firm, she worked for over 2 years at another local firm in Portage. She earned her CPA license in 1998 and her CFE designation in 2006. At BKC she specializes in auditing, accounting and fraud engagements and has experience and knowledge in the corporate tax area.
Kathy’s main objective is servicing clients with financial statement assurance requirements, which includes audits, reviews and compilations. Kathy’s experience and technical ability to prepare or dissect financial statements, recommend ways to defend against fraud and internal control weaknesses, along with knowledge in corporate tax, allows her to give clients solutions to business questions they might have.
During her time away from the firm, she travels around the country with her husband watching her son play hockey and lacrosse. If she is not attending a sports event she is watching football, hockey, lacrosse, softball or other activities on tv at home. She also enjoys working out, weightlifting, biking, reading and spending time with her daughter.

"BKC’s great work environment and an awesome staff that go above and beyond to serve the clients we have are reasons I have worked here for so long. I love the diversity of working on numerous clients all having different types of business that I can serve whether it be on an audit or a tax engagement. I enjoy working at BKC because it has allowed me the flexibility to work a full schedule but also raise my two children and attend their school and sports activities."
