Job Description
BKC is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team in a full-time capacity during our busy season (December through May) and part-time during the remainder of the year – BKC will consider full-time year-round for an excellent candidate. Our Administrative Team supports the accounting staff and maintains the office environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a positive attitude when working with clients and staff. The candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to learn new software and work efficiently. The ability to cross-train with current Administrators on all job functions.
Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Ability to work extended hours during tax season (March – April) with potential weekend coverage a plus, but not mandatory.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Learn accounting software suite to maintain client database.

Assist in printing tax returns and ensuring all required reports are generated.

Assist in assembling tax returns for clients.

Perform data / numerical verifications on printed reports.

Handle personal information in a highly professional and confidential manner.

Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate individuals.

Greet clients when they the office.

Arrange lunches and events when requested.

Scanning documents and filing scanned document to appropriate client files.

Helping clients log into their client portal.

Taking credit card payments over the phone.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

Associates degree or higher, preferred

3 years minimum office administration experience, preferred

Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), required, those with experience in accounting software, preferred but not required

Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High values in teamwork, client/customer service and professionalism
