Jeremy LaRochelle, CPA, CVA

Due to a scheduling error in his senior year of high school, he was left to fill one block of the day with one of two remaining available classes; accounting or jazz dance.  After being rejected for jazz dance, he quickly fell in love with the logical nature of accounting and knew immediately that he wanted to make a career out of it.
 
Straight into college out of high school, he soon graduated summa cum laude from Siena Heights University with a BA in business administration and then from Western Michigan University with an MSA.
 
His work experience began with an internship at a local brewery where he met and established a business relationship with partner, Phil Chludzinski. It was October of 2014 when Jeremy was added to the BKC team.  He passed all four portions of the CPA exam in six months and on the first try during 2018.  Now over five years into his public accounting experience, he helps manage the taxation team, is working on expanding the firm’s valuation practice, and is the go-to person for internal information technology support.

Outside of the firm, he spends most of his time with his three-year-old son, Declan, and their three dogs, Meeko (pomeranian/chihuahua mix), Prim (dalmatian), and Lily (lab-mix).  Often labeled as a nerd (and proud of it), he is a sci-fi fan and a gamer. He also enjoys Sherlock Holmes novels and is obsessed with AC/DC.
