Josh Howells has over five years of experience in public accounting.  Prior to joining the firm, he spent three years with the audit practice at Blue & Co., LLC, a top 100 accounting firm.  Josh brought experience and expertise in financial statement audits, internal control review, and business consultation.  This allowed Josh to quickly gain knowledge with corporate and individual taxation at BKC, helping him to build a well-rounded public accounting foundation.

Currently, Josh’s primary focus is servicing clients with financial statement assurance needs including audits, reviews, and compilations.  Over the years, Josh has developed an expertise in the manufacturing and construction fields, while also being able to contribute with employee benefits plans, ESOP’s, and various other closely-held businesses.  Josh’s technical skill in understanding and dissecting financial statements allows him to seek meaningful and profitable business solutions to each client he serves.

During his time away from the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and dog.  Now that his college football playing days are over, Josh has turned his competitiveness to golf and slow-pitch softball.  When not at home or in the office, Josh is most likely outside hiking, camping, biking, or fishing.

WHY BKC?

"Having grown up in a small town outside of Chicago, I’ve always appreciated the Midwestern values that I was raised on.  Integrity, friendliness, and hard-work were instilled in me from the start, and that has carried me through each step of my personal and professional career.  I’ve found that the Midwestern values that I’ve wanted to build my career on are a lot in common with the core values at BKC.

The culture at BKC allows me to put people first in everything that I do.  These meaningful relationships, whether that be a co-worker or a client, are the foundation to BKC’s success and growth.  And with this solid foundation, I’m able to 'roll up my sleeves' and work towards providing an unmatched service to all individuals and businesses associated with BKC."
