Lisa graduated from Western Michigan University with a master’s degree in accountancy back in 2021. In her former life, she was a life insurance underwriter for 5 years.
She started taking night classes at Western a few months after her first son was born back in 2016. She had the role of being a full-time mom to 2 little boys and a part-time student at Western for 5 years before she acquired her master’s degree. Right after graduate school, Lisa took a staff accountant job in the manufacturing industry. Fast forward 2 years later, she started her career with BKC in Jan 2024.
Lisa has a bubbly personality. She enjoys conversations (bilingual in English and Chinese) and genuinely cares about the people around her. She lives with her husband Jonathan in Portage MI. Together Jonathan and Lisa have two boys-David and Daniel. Both of her boys attend St. Monica Catholic School in Kalamazoo. In the summer, she enjoys camping in State parks, paddleboarding on local lakes, and biking with her boys. In recent years, she has taken a deep interest in gardening. In the winter, Lisa enjoys skiing. David and Daniel are good skiers, thanks to the many times she has brought the kids along with her. Besides skiing, Lisa enjoys taking her boys sledding whenever there is snow.
